Newcomb is in her second season as a volunteer assistant coach after joining the coaching staff in the Spring of 2018.
 
She is no stranger to Schaeffer Park as she was a three-year starter in the circle for the Lady Buffs from 2013-15. During her career, she went 48-14 in the circle in 90 appearances and 78 starts with an ERA of 2.86. Her best season came in 2015 as she was an important part of the Lady Buff program that won the NCAA Division II National Championship. She went 20-4 in 143.0 innings pitched with an ERA of 2.69 with 95 strikeouts to earn First Team All-Lone Star Conference and National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-South Central Region honors.
 
The Frisco, Texas native graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business management from West Texas A&M in 2016 and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sports management.
