Biography

2008: Wallace started all 58 games, seeing action in 32 contests in right field, 20 at third base and three each in left field and as designated player. She was a mainstay in the cleanup spot in the WT batting lineup and ranked second on the team with six home runs and 33 RBIs. She had a .257 batting average, collecting 44 hits, scoring 34 runs and six doubles in 171 at-bats. In just her second collegiate game, she scored four runs in a win over Central Missouri. Wallace slammed the first home run of her WT career on Feb. 22, as she went 2-for-4 at the plate with a pair of RBIs as WT downed Southwestern Oklahoma. She drove in a season high three runs on March 12 against Adams State and tied that feat with a 2-for-3, three RBI performance against Cameron on March 29 at the LSC Crossover Tournament. At season[apos]s end, she was named second team All-LSC.

High School: Wallace attended Amarillo, Texas, Randall HS, where she emerged as one of the Panhandle[apos]s top prospects while playing both third base and shortstop during her prep career. She ended her senior campaign with .640 batting average and earned team MVP honors. Wallace was selected first team all-district all four years at Randall, where she also played soccer, earning second team all-district honors.

Personal: Wallace is the daughter of Chic and Denise Wallace. She has one sister, Amber. She is majoring in Nursing at WTAMU.
