Biography

2013: Spencer registered another solid year in the circle for the Lady Buffs as a sophomore in 2013. She went 8-2 with a 3.09 ERA with four complete games on the season, the Colorado Springs native struck out 13 batters in her 54.1 innings of work while giving up an opponent batting average of .313. Spencer started off the 2013 season on a high note, throwing a complete game shutout while allowing just two hits in a 1-0 win against Western New Mexico in the season opener at the Desert Stinger Invite in Las Vegas, Nevada. Spencer also excelled in the classroom, being named a member of the LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

2012: Spencer became the number two starter in the circle for the Lady Buffs as a true freshman in 2012, seeing time in 26 games with 13 starts on the season for an overall record of 9-5. She registered a 5.62 ERA with 66 strikeouts in her 104.2 innings of work with one save and seven complete games. Her best start came against then #2 North Georgia at the Diamond 9 Citrus Classic as she went five innings, giving up two runs on six hits with five strikeouts. Spencer also excelled in the classroom, being named a member of the Lone Star Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

High School: Spencer graduated from Liberty HS (Colorado) in 2011, pitching and playing centerfield for the Lancers under head coach Addie Yestness. She led the Lancers to the League Championship during her senior campaign, being named All-State and First Team All-League. Spencer also excelled in the classroom, being named Academic All-State and she graduated with honors from LHS.

Major: Spencer is a Science major at West Texas A&M with a minor in Education.

Personal: Spencer is the daughter of Ricky and Carol Spencer and she has two siblings, Holly and Mitchell.
