2013: Lemos stepped into a leadership role for the Lady Buffs during her junior campaign in 2013 and the talented shortstop didn’t disappoint. She registered the best season of her WT career, hitting .366 with 21 doubles, four triples, 10 homeruns to drive in 52 RBI while also walking a school record 46 times. The Grapevine native also proved herself as one of the top shortstops in the country, registering a fielding percentage of .945 with 76 putouts and a team leading 149 assists on the year. Lemos led the Lady Buffs in on-base percentage (.500), hits (67), plate appearances (234) and assists (149) while also setting single season school records in walks (46), runs (69) and doubles (21). Lemos became the third All-American in program history on May 22nd as she picked up National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) 3rd Team honors. She was also named a 1st Team All-LSC performer as well as Golden Glove shortstop and a member of the LSC All-Tournament Team. Lemos also excelled in the classroom, being named a member of the LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
2012: Lemos continued to become one of the best shortstops in the Lone Star Conference as she started every game for the Lady Buffs as a sophomore in 2012, hitting .294 with six doubles, two triples and eight homeruns to drive in 30 runs and leading the team in runs scored (52), at-bats (170), games played/started (53), assists (144), fielding double plays (8) and total plate appearance (204). She also was a force up the middle for the Lady Buffs, tallying a .972 fielding percentage with 65 putouts and 144 assists. Lemos also excelled in the classroom, being named a member of the Lone Star Conference All-Academic Team as well as the LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
2011: Lemos started every game at shortstop for the Lady Buffs as a true freshman in 2011, hitting .329 with 13 doubles and three homeruns for 40 RBI from the leadoff spot. She registered a .907 fielding percentage with 58 putouts and 128 assists, Lemos was also a threat on the base paths with 13 stolen bases on 16 attempts. On March 26, the Lemos family honored the late Roni Lemos with the first annual Beat Cancer with a Bat game, raising awareness and money for Ovarian Cancer. Lemos was honored with a spot on the All-Lone Star Conference Honorable Mention team for her efforts on the diamond.
High School: Lemos graduated from Grapevine HS (Texas) in 2010 and was a four year letterwinner at shortstop for the Mustangs under head coach Steve Bottoms. She holds the career records for RBI, Runs, Hits and Walks at GHS and was named the school’s MVP three times. As a senior in 2010, Lemos was named the District 5-5A Co-MVP and was honored with a spot on the All-Tarrant County Super Team. Lemos also excelled in the classroom, graduating in the top 11% of her class while being a member of the National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, Texas Scholars and a Community Ambassador.
Major: Lemos is a Pre-Med major at West Texas A&M.
Personal: Lemos is the daughter of Wayne and the late Roni Lemos. She has one brother, Austin.
