2016 (Junior):
Alfonso registered a breakout junior campaign for the Lady Buffs as a junior in 2016. The Tucson native went 10-0 in the circle for the Lady Buffs, tallying a 3.20 ERA with 21 appearances and 16 starts including six complete games and three shutouts in her 78.2 innings of work on the season. She allowed 86 hits and 47 runs (36 earned) while walking 33 and striking out 37 batters to allow an opposing batting average of .271. Alfonso started off the season strong as she allowed no runs on just three hits in her first appearance as a Lady Buffs in a complete game shutout of CSU-Pueblo (Feb. 5) in St. George, Utah.
 
At Pima College:
Alfonso came to Canyon in the Spring of 2016 from Pima College (Arizona) where she went 27-7 in the circle for the Aztecs as a sophomore in 2015 as she registered a 3.36 ERA to go along with one save and 127 strikeouts (4.15/game) in her 214.1 innings of work in her 39 appearances with 34 starts. She also provided a spark at the plate for the Aztecs, hitting .381 with three doubles and eight homeruns to drive in 30 RBI for a slugging percentage of .702 while walking 11 times in 84 at-bats. She registered a walkoff three run blast to lift the Aztecs past South Mountain Community College in the NJCAA Region I Division II Tournament opener as Pima finished second in the event. For her efforts on the diamond, she was named a member of the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) 2^nd Team while also picking up NJCAA Division II All-Region honors.

At Eastern Arizona College:
Alfonso spent her freshman season at Eastern Arizona College where she went 19-3 in the circle with a 2.93 ERA to go along with 68 strikeouts in her 172 innings of work with one start and 27 appearances for the Gila Monsters. At the plate, she hit .281 with two doubles and two homeruns to drive in 17 RBI while walking six times in her 39 plate appearances for a slugging percentage of .531. 
 
At Canyon de Oro High School:
Alfonso registered a standout prep career at Canyon de Oro High School (Arizona) where she helped the Dorados to a pair of Arizona 4A State Championships (2011, 2012).

Personal:
Born June 22nd. Alfonso is the daughter of Rick and Vera Alfonso and she has two siblings, Ricky and Robert. She is majoring in Sports & Exercise Science at West Texas A&M.
