2014: In his second season with the Buffs, Alongo earned his first All-America award with a seventh place finish in long jump at the NCAA Indoor Championship in Winston-Salem, N.C. He helped lead the Buffs to their first LSC Championship during the indoor season with a third place showing in long jump and seventh place finish in triple jump. He was named USTFCCCA All-Region in long jump during indoor and outdoor and was tabbed LSC Field Athlete of the Week once during each season as well. Alongo once again qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championship and placed 11th in the country at the meet after placing second at the LSC Outdoor Championship. The sophomore broke the school's outdoor long jump record at the WT Classic with a leap of 7.43m. During 2014, Alongo totalled 10 top-eight finishes and won the long jump competition at three different meets.

2013: As a freshman, Alongo placed in the top-five in every indoor competition through the LSC Indoor Championships, where he won the long jump event and placed third in triple jump. Got first-place in his first collegiate event (long jump). His personal bests were 14.49m/47'-6.5" (triple jump) and 7.23m/23'-8.75" (long jump). Qualified for the NCAA Indoor National Championships where he placed 15th in the long jump.

Previous School: Attended Gaston Berger in Lille, France before transfering to WT. Earned a degree in Managament and graduated in 2009. Competed in the long jump with a personal best of 25'-2" and the triple jump with a personal best of 47'-8".

High School: Graduated with honors from Baudimont St. Charles in Arras, France in 2006. Competed in the long jump, triple jump and 100m. Holds the school's long jump record at 23'6". Four-time national champion in 2005 and 2006 (indoor and outdoor).

Personal: Son of Catherine Alongo and Leon Eyombi. Born Aug. 5, 1988. Majoring in Marketing at West Texas A&M.
