2020 Indoor: Finished 21st in the 5,000-meters at the Crimson & Gold Invitational running 16:17.08.

2019 Cross Country:  Competed in five meets for the Buffs where he placed 54th at Lone Star Conference Championships with a time of 27:42.9… Ran a seasonal-best time of 26:20.9 for 8,000-meters at the Greater Louisville Classic to finish 272nd… Finished 46th at the Texas A&M Invitational running 28:40.6 before placing 26th at the Texas Tech Open running 27:57.8… Opened the season at the Buffalo Stampede running 20:42.5 for 6,000-meters…

2019 Outdoor: Finished 14thin the 10,000-meters at the Lone Star Conference Championships running 36:11.13. Ran a personal best time of 35:36.15 in the 10K at the WT Classic & Multi. Finished 17thin the 5,000-meters at the ACU Wes Kittley Invitational in a personal best time of 16:11.61. 

2019 Indoor:Competed in three meets highlighted with a Top 20 performance in the 5,000 meters at the Lone Star Conference Championships. Ran 17:07.94 out of the second heat to finish 18thcombined with a 29thfinish in the 3,000 meters running 9:48.67. Ran a seasonal best time of 9:38.82 in the 3,000m at the Texas Tech Open. Also competed in the Pittsburg State Invitational running a seasonal best time of 16:22.09. 

2018 Cross Country: Competed in four meets as a redshirt freshman highlighted by a Top-10 finish at the LSC Preview Meet. He finished 29th at the Lone Star Conference Championships running a seasonal best time of 27:15.6 for 8,000-meters. Finished 7th at the LSC Preview Meet in 27:19.4 after finishing 41st at the South Plains College Cross Country Invitational and 132nd at the MSSU Southern Stampede in Joplin, Mo.

High School: Graduated from San Elizario High School in 2017. Led the Eagles to a pair of Texas 4A Cross Country State Championships under head coach Cesar Morales while also qualifying for the Regional Track Meet as a senior.

Personal: Born December 20th. Son of Jose and Marisela Contreras and he has two siblings, David and Jessica. Majoring in Civil Engineering at West Texas A&M.
