2017 Outdoor: Earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) 2
nd Team All-American honors finishing 10
th in the decathlon at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships with 6,823 points. He set personal best marks in the shot put, discus, pole vault and 1,500-meter during the competition. Earned USTFCCCA All –Region honors in the decathlon and 4x400m relay. Earned 2
nd Team All-Lone Star Conference honors as part of the 4x400m relay that finished second running 3:11.57. He also finished 8
th in the pole vault, 11
th in the javelin, 12
th in the 800-meters and 14
th in the long jump at the same championships. He won the decathlon at the WT Classic & Multi with 6,867 points which is the 7
th best performance in school history. That score also ranked him 15
th in the nation heading into the national championships.
2017 Indoor: Recorded the second-best performance in school history in the heptathlon at the Grizzly/Buffalo Clash with 4,710 points which ranked him 43rd in the nation. Recorded personal bests in the 60-meter hurdles (8.99), 600-meters (1:23.92) and 1,000-meters (2:56.65) during the season.
2016 Outdoor: Provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships when broke the freshman record in the decathlon scoring 6,384 points at the WT Classic & Multi to win the event. He ranked 31
st in the nation in that event. Â He won four of the 10 events during his record breaking performance. Â Finished sixth in the pole vault at the Lone Star Conference Championships with a personal-best clearance of 14-5.5 (4.41m).
2016 Indoor: Set personal best marks in the high jump and long jump during the indoor season at the New Mexico Cherry & Silver Invite.
High school: Graduated from Daramalan College in 2013 where he competed in the decathlon. Calvert won the Under 18 Australian Championships in the decathlon. He also earned a runner-up and third place finish at the Under 20 Australian Championships.
Personal: Born on August 31, 1995. Son of David and Dianne Calvert. Has two siblings, Geoffrey and Amanda. Majoring in sports and exercise science at West Texas A&M.
