2014: After finishing seventh in the 400m prelims at the LSC Indoor Championship, Helom rolled through the finals to earn an LSC individual championship with a new school record time of 48.44
, making him one of three Buffs featured on the LSC All-Conference squad. He also led the 4x400m relay team to a second place finish and the team to its first team title in program history. Helom then scored in three separate events at the LSC Outdoor Championship as he placed third in the 400mH and helped the 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams to fourth and fifth place finishes, respectively. He was named USTFCCCA All-Region during both indoor (400m & 4x4) and outdoor (400mH) competition and was named LSC Track Athlete of the Week once during the outdoor season. His PRs in 2014 included 22.61 (200m), 48.44 (400m), 1:19.19 (600y) and 52.62 (400mH). Helom also attributed to another school record in the indoor 4x400m relay where the team ran a 3:15.16.
Western Texas College: Competed at WTC prior to coming to WT. Placed third at nationals in the 400m hurdles and second at nationals in the 4x400 relay. Best times were 52.2 in the 400m hurdles, 47.8 in the 400m and 21.5 in the 200m.
High School: Graduated in 2011 from Lewisville HS. Competed in the 110m hurdles, 300m hurdles and 4x400 relay. District Champion in the 300m hurdles where his best time was 38.14. Also district champion in the 4x400 relay and placed third in the state in the event.
Personal: Son of Cherise Ingram. Born June 17, 1993. Majoring in criminal justice at West Texas A&M.
