2020 Outdoor: Canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic. 

2020 Indoor: Did not compete.

2019 Outdoor: Earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Second Team All-American honors as part of the 4x100 meter relay that finished ninth at the NCAA DII Championships running 41.11. Ran a seasonal best time of 21.71 in the 200-meters at the West Texas A&M Last Chance. Ran the anchor leg on the 4x100m relay that broke the school record at the Fearless Champion Open running 40.35. 

2019 Indoor:Competed in three meets for the Buffs including a 14thplace finish in the 200-meters at the Lone Star Conference Championships where he ran a seasonal best time of 22.06. Also finished 47thin the 200m at the Don Kirby Elite running 22.68. Finished 48thin the event at the Texas Tech Open in 22.92.

South Plains College: Was a three-time All-American during his two-year career at South Plains. As a freshman, he finished 12th in the 400-meters at the NJCAA Indoor Championships followed by a seventh place finish in the 200-meter dash at the outdoor championships for his first All-American honors. He also ran a leg on the 4x400-meter relay that finished second running 3:08.38 in the final. During his sophomore season, he finished 11th in the 400m and 13th in the 200m indoors while finishing 15ht in the 200m outdoors. Earned his third and final All-American honor as part of the 4x400m relay that finished third in the final running 3:07.41.
 
Caprock High School: Was a three-sport athlete at Caprock High School playing football, basketball and track & field. He was a multi-time regional qualifier on the track including an appearance at the state meet as a junior after running a school record 21.04 in the 200-meter dash. Earned First Team All-District honors on the gridiron.
 
Personal: Son of Robert Atkinson and Stephanie Martinez. Has four siblings. Plans on majoring in general studies.
