2019 Indoor: Won the pole vault at the WT Last Chance with a clearance of 15-6.25 (4.73m). Also won the event at the WT Classic & Multi with a seasonal best clearance of 15-7 (4.75m). Finished third at the Fearless Champion Open and West Texas A&M Invitational. 

2019 Indoor:Ranked 42nd the in nation after his clearance of 15-8.25 (4.78m) at the Lone Star Conference Championships. That was good enough for a fifth-place finish at the conference meet and is also the third-best clearance in program history. Recorded a second-place finish in the pole vault at The Power 5 with a clearance of 14-6 (4.42m). Recorded a runner-up finish at the ASU Early Grizzly Open with a clearance of 14-7.25 (4.45m). 

2018 Outdoor: Finished ninth in the pole vault at the Lone Star Conference Championships with a clearance of 4.35-meters (14-3.25). Won the pole vault at the West Texas A&M Invitational with a clearance of 4.30-meters (14-1.25). Also cleared that same height at the WT Classic & Multi.
 
2018 Indoor: Finished ninth in the pole vault at the Lone Star Conference Championships with a seasonal best clearance of 4.56-meters (14-11.5). He finished 10th in that event at the MSSU Lion Open & Multi with a clearance of 4.50m (14-9). Also finished fourth at the Texas Tec Red & Black Open with a clearance of 4.55m (14-11).

2017 Outdoor: Finished in a tie for eighth at the Lone Star Conference Championships in the pole vault with a clearance of 4.29 meters (14-0.75). He finished second at both the West Texas A&M Invitational and WT Classic & Multi with a clearance of 4.45 meters (14-7.25).

 2017 Indoor: Became the first Buff to score in the pole vault at the Lone Star Conference Championships since 2014 with his sixth place finish (4.52m/14-10). He recorded the fifth-best mark in school history with his clearance of 4.60 meters (15-1) at both the Don Kirby Invitational and UNM Cherry & Silver Invite. Won the pole vault competition at the Grizzly/Buffalo Clash with a clearance of 4.45 meters (14-7.25).

2016 Outdoor: Had a personal-best clearance of 13-11.755 (4.26m) in the pole vault at the Division II South Central Region Challenge where he finished second. He finished second in the pole vault at the WT Classic & Multi with a clearance of 12-5.5 (3.80m).

2016 Indoor: Finished ninth in the pole vault at the Lone Star Conference Championships with a mark of 4.05 meters. Took second at the Grizzly-Buffalo Clash in the pole vault with a personal-best mark of 4.11 meters.

High School: Graduated from Seminole High School in 2015 where he competed in the pole vault for the Indians. Vaughn was a USATF Junior Olympic Nationals qualifier, three-time area and two-time regional qualifier and holds the school record in the pole vault. He has a personal best mark of 4.47 meters.

Personal: Born on August 30, 1996. Son of Stephen and Carol Vaughn. Has one sister, Jodie. Majoring in history and economics at West Texas A&M.
