2021 Outdoor: First Team All-American. Finished 6
th in the long jump at the NCAA Division II Championships with a mark of 24-4.5 (7.43m). First Team All-Lone Star Conference after breaking the school record in the long jump, 25-8.75 (7.84m), en route to winning the event. Won his section of the long jump at the Texas Relays with the third-best mark in program history, 25-4 (7.72m).
2021 Indoor: Out of eligibility.
2020 Outdoor: Canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic.
2020 Indoor: Ranked 11
th in NCAA DII in the long jump. Earned Second Team All-Lone Star Conference honors after finishing second in the long jump with the seventh-best mark in program history, 24-3 (7.39m). He won the GAC Last Chance with the fourth-best mark in program history, 24-4.5 (7.43m). Won the long jump at the Crimson & Gold Invitational with a mark of 24-0.75 (7.33m). Earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors (long jump).
Before WT: Finished first in the long jump at the Asian Athletics game while also finishing first in the National Trials with a mark of 7.99 meters. Also competed at the national championships in 2017 and 2018 in the long jump.
Personal: Born on April 15, 1994. Son of H.A. Mithila Kumari and G.K.O. Diyarathna. Has three siblings. Majoring in sports and exercise science.
