Elise Leveel enters the 2025–26 season as the graduate assistant for the West Texas A&M cross-country program while pursuing her master’s degree in Sports and Exercise Science. In her first season on staff, Leveel helped the Buffs and Lady Buffs win the Lone Star Conference cross-country championships and develop five All-Americans.
A 2025 graduate of West Texas A&M, Leveel competed for two seasons as a member of the Lady Buffs distance program, helping extend WT’s dominance in the Lone Star Conference. During her time in Canyon, the Lady Buffs captured six consecutive LSC team titles across cross-country and track & field. She contributed to WT’s historic runner-up finish at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships in Sacramento, the best result in program history, surpassing the team’s sixth-place finish in Joplin the previous year.
Individually, Leveel advanced to three NCAA Championship meets, two indoors and one outdoors, racing the 5,000m and 10,000m on the national stage in Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, and Pueblo.
Before joining West Texas A&M, Leveel competed for the University of Charleston (WV), where she earned NCAA Division II Cross Country All-American honors in Seattle and was named the 2021 Atlantic Region Runner of the Year.
A native of France, Leveel also holds a BPJEPS, a nationally recognized French coaching diploma.
