Finished 4th in the 5,000-meter at the TTU Masked Rider Open with a season best time of 15.23.13. Finished 8th in the 1,500-meter at the WT Spring Break Classic with a season best time of 4:18.52.
2022 Indoor: Finished 9th in the 5,000-meter at the LSC Championships.
2021 Cross Country: Finished 8th at the LSC Cross Country Championship. Finished 169th at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championship. Finished 43rd at the NCAA Division II South Central Region County Championship with a season best time of 31:40.8 in the 10k. Finished 3rd at the William Graham RC Cross Country Invitational in the 8k. Ran a personal best time of 20:44.9 in the 4m at the Texas Tech Open.
2021 Outdoor: Finished 8th in the 5,000-meters at the Lone Star Conference Championships in a time of 15:30.33. Also finished 9th in the 10,000-meters after running 32:33.67. Ran a seasonal best time of 31:29.73 in the 10,000m at the Flames Invitational. Also ran 31:52.53 at the WT Spring Break Classic.
2021 Indoor: Third Team All-Lone Star Conference honors after his 3rd place finish in the 5,000-meters in a time of 15:07.82. Also finished 5th in the 3,000-meters running 8:48.63. Ran a personal best time of 8:32.56 in the 3,000m to finish 5th at the Washburn Open.
2020 Cross Country: Finished 13th at the Lone Star Conference Championships covering the 8,000-meter course in 25:34.8. Also finished 17th at the D2 XC National Invite running 32:49.0 for 10,000-meters. Finished 6th at the ASU Blue & Gold.
2020 Outdoor: Canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic.
2020 Indoor: Redshirted.
2019 Cross Country: Competed in four meets for the Buffs. Finished 5
th at the South Central Region Preview. Finished 214
th at the Greater Louisiville Classic. Finished 18
th at the Texas A&M Invitational with a season-best time of 25:42.7 for 8,000-meters. Finished 7
th at the Buffalo Stampede in Canyon to open the season.
2019 Outdoor: Earned Second Team All-Lone Star Conference honors after his runner-up finish in the 10,000-meters at the outdoor championships running 31:56.90. He also finished sixth in the 5,000-meters at the championships running 15:40.30. Finished 17
thin the 10,000m at Mt. Sac Relays running 32:54.10. Recorded a second-place finish in the 10,000m at the WT Last Chance in 32:20.15. Also earned LSC All-Academic honors.
2019 Indoor:Recorded a runner-up finish in the 5,000-meters at the Lone Star Conference Championships in 14:59.90. Also finished third in the 3,000-meters in 8:46.39 to help the Buffs win their first team title since 2014. Ran a personal best time of 8:36.66 in the 3,000m at the Pittsburg State Invitational. Opened the season with a ninth-place finish in the 5,000m a the ASU Early Grizzly Open running 15:41.69 at altitude. Also ran 4:34.51 in the mile at The Power 5.
2018 Cross Country: 2018 Lone Star Conference Runner of the Year. Earned All-American honors after finishing 32
nd at the Division II Men’s Cross Country Championships at Bob O’Connor Golf Course at Schenley Part in Pittsburgh covering the muddy 10,000-meter course in 33:16.5. Earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors after finishing 16
th at the South Central Region honors after running a seasonal best time of 31:40.5 for 10,000m. Finished second at the LSC Championships at The Range in 25:32.2 (8,000-meters) to lead the Buffs to their sixth-straight team title over Tarleton. Earned LSC Runner of the Week accolades after finishing 23
rd at the MSSU Southern Stampede. Also finished 7th at the South Plains College Cross Country Invitational and 14
th at the Fort Hays State Tiger Open.
2018 Outdoor: Earned First Team All-Lone Star Conference honors after winning the 5,000-meters at the conference meet in 15:01.29. Also finished 5
th in the 10,000-meters running 31:46.60 in the final. Ran a seasonal-best time of 14:40.79 over 5,000m at the Bryan Clay Invitational. Also ran 4:13.50 over 1,500-meters in California at the Beach Invitational. Opened his career with a 31:16.20 effort over 10,000m at the San Francisco Distance Carnival.
2018 Indoor: Finished 3
rd in the 5,000-meters and 4
th in the 3,000-meters at the Lone Star Conference Championships. Ran 15:04.82 in the 5,000m final as the Buffs went 1-2-3 while running 8:54.34 for the 3,000m. Ran a seasonal-best time of 14:42.31 over 5,000m at the Indoor Gorilla Classic in Pittsburg, Kan. Also ran a 4:29.44 mile at the same meet. Ran a seasonal-best time of 8:42.19 for 3,000m at the Texas Tech Open.
2017 Cross Country: Earned Lone Star Conference Freshman Runner of the Year honors following his 5
th place finish at the Championship meet in Kingsville, Texas. Also competed in the National Championships where he finished 85
th covering the 10,000-meters in Evansville, Ind. in 32:35.5. Also finished 36
th at the South Central Regional meet in Canyon running 32:19.8 for 10,000m. Recorded an 11
th place finish at the MSSU Southern Stampede running 25:26.0 for 8,000-meters. Finished 30
th at the Chile Pepper XC Festival running 31:43.1 for his first collegiate 10,000m.
High School: Graduated from nearby Tascosa High School in 2017. Claimed the 2016 District 2-6A Cross Country Championship as a senior and finished Top 10 at the State Meet. Holds the 5,000-meter School Record for the Rebels and is a two-time District Champion in XC. Excelled in the classroom as a member of the National Honor Society.
Personal: Born July 7th. Son of Scott and Shari Wittlake and he has one brother, Barak. Majoring in Biology at West Texas A&M.
