2019 Outdoor: 
Ran a seasonal best time of 1:52.71 in the 800-meters at the WT Classic & Multi where he finished sixth. Finished sixth in the 1,500-meters at the Fearless Champion Open running 4:03.45 while running a leg on the 4x400-meter relay that finished fourth, 3:25.07. Finished 50thin the 800m at the Beach Invitational in 1:55.68 after finishing 80that the Bryan Clay Invitational the night before running 1:53.58. 

2019 Indoor:Ranked 19thin the nation in the 800-meters after running an altitude adjusted 1:51.62 at the Texas Tech Open. Finished seventh in the mile and 800m at the Lone Star Conference Championships helping the Buffs to their first team title since 2014. Ran a personal best time of 4:14.59 in the mile at the Indoor Gorilla Classic where he finished seventh. Finished fourth in the 800m at the Pittsburg State Invitational running 1:52.21. Ran a leg on the distance medley that a seasonal best time of 9:57.51 at The Power 5 which ranked as the 26thfastest time in the nation. 

2018 Outdoor: Finished 14th in the 800-meters at the NCAA Championships in Charlotte, N.C. running 1:51.39 in the prelims. Qualified for the national meet after running 1:50.26 at the Bryan Clay Invitational. Ran a seasonal-best time of 4:00.85 over 1,500-meters at the Beach Invitational. Finished fourth in the 800m at the Texas State Bobcat Invitational running 1:52.71. Recorded a runner-up finish in the half mile at the ACU Wes Kittley Invitational.
 
2018 Indoor: Provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 800-meters after running 1:51.64 at the Texas Tech Matador Qualifier. Finished 3rd in the 800m at the Lone Star Conference Championships after running a leg on the winning distance medley relay. Finished 5th in the 800m at the Texas Tech Open after running 1:52.03. Ran a seasonal-best time of 4:19.64 in the mile at the Crimson & Gold Invitational.
 
2017 Cross Country: Did not compete.

2017 Outdoor: Redshirt.

2017 Indoor: Did not compete.

2016 Cross Country: Finished 34th at the Lone Star Conference Championships covering the 8,000-meter course in a personal-best time of 27:10.1. Was the Buffs third runner at the Buffalo Stampede finishing 14th in a time of 28:14.9. Ran a personal-best time over 5,000-meters at the Border Classic finishing 19th in 16:30.2.

2016 Outdoor: Provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 800-meters after running a personal-best time of 1:51.91 at the SHSU Last Chance. That time ranked him 42nd in the nation and is the seventh-fastest in school history. He finished fifth in the 800 at the Lone Star Conference Championships running 1:56.47 in the final. He won the 800 at the Ross Black Open running 1:53.93.

2015 Cross Country: Redshirt.
    
2015 Outdoor: Finished third in the 800-meters at the Lone Star Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships running 1:53.84 in the final. He was also a part of the 4x400-meter relay that finished fourth running 3:17.92, He ran a personal best time of 1:52.18 in the 800m at the Bryan Clay Invitational. He ran a personal best time of 4:03.04 in the 1,500-meters at the Bobcat Invitational
 
2015 Indoor: Earned Lone Star All-Conference honors as part of the distance medley relay that finished first at the LSC  indoor track & field championships in 10:22.64. He also finished eighth in the 800-meters running 1:57.70 in the final. He ran a personal-best time of 1:54.33 in the 800m at the GVSU Big Meet Invite.
 
2014 Cross Country: In his WT debut, Rivera finished 20th at the Wagon Wheel Dual (8K), running a time of 29:45.4. He then placed second in the 3K run at the WTAMU Buffalo Stampede, crossing the line at 9:51.00. After the season, Rivera was named to the 2014 LSC Fall Commissioner's Honor Roll.

High School: Rivera graduated from Decatur High School in 2014. He competed in both cross country and track and field and his team won a 3A State Championship in cross country in 2012 under head coach David Park. Rivera was also an individual 3A State Champion in the 800m while he also competed in the 400m, mile relay and 5K events. He was also a four-year letterwinner in soccer.

Personal: Born Oct. 10, 1995. Son of Luis and Alma Rivera. Has four sisters, Brianna, Angela, Emma and Julianna. Majoring in Pre-Med at West Texas A&M.
