Senior (2015/16)
Indoor: Korn became an All-American for the second time in his career after running the 800 meter leg for the distance medley relay that finished second at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Pittsburg, Kan. He split 1:50 and got the Buffs back into contention heading into the final leg. He was part of the DMR that broke the school and LSC conference record during the Grizzly-Buffalo Clash. The quartet ran a time of 9:47.86 which was the fourth-fastest time in the nation. He also provisionally qualified in the 800 meters after running 1:52.62 at the same meet. That was the third-fastest time in school history. He finished second in both the DMR and 800 meters at the Lone Star Conference Championships held in Alamosa, Colo. In the 800 meters, he led for a majority of the race before getting passed in the final meters.
Outdoor: Finished third in the 800-meters at the Lone Star Conference Championships running 1:55.50. Ran an outdoor personal-best time of 1:50.97 in the 800 at the Portland Twilight to finish eighth overall while becoming just the second runner in school history to break 1:51 in that event. That time ranked him 27th in the nation. Ran personal-best time of 3:54.39 in the 1,500-meters at the Bryan Clay Invitational. Finished third in the 1,500 at the WT Classic & Multi running 3:57.37.
Junior (2013-14)
Cross Country: Finished 35th overall at the WTAMU Buffalo Stampede in the 8K with a time of 28:41.6. Placed 11th at the Wagonwheel Dual (8K), crossing the line at 28:05.16.
Sophomore (2012-13)
Cross Country: Placed 35th at the LSC Championships in the 8K with a time of 26:52.3. Qualified for the South Central Regional Championships and finished 91st overall in the 10K with a time of 36:13.0.
High School: Alex attended Schonbuch-Gymnasium in Germany. He competed in club track where he ran the 800m and 400m hurdles. He ran a time of 1:52.50 in the 800 and 54.93 in the 400m hurdles. Third Junior Champion. Alex also participated in (European) Handball.
Personal: Born Aug. 14, 1990. Korn is the son of Roland and Bettina Korn, has two siblings Romy (24) and Valentin (19). Alex is a general business major with an emphasis on international business.
