2016 (Junior)

    Indoor: Earned All-American honors running the third leg for the 4x400 meter relay that placed fifth at the NCAA DII Indoor Championships in Pittsburg, Kan. Their time of 3:11.25 broke the school and Lone Star Conference record by more than two seconds. Earned All-Conference honors at the LSC Championships as part of the winning 4x400 team that ran 3:18.20 while finishing 14th in the open 400 meters. Ran a personal-best time of 47.79 at the Pittsburg State Invitational. Ran a personal-best time of 22.86 in the 200 meters at the New Mexico Cherry & Silver Invite.
  
    Outdoor: Earned All-American honors for the second time as a member of the 4x400-meter relay that ran 3:07.56 and finished third at the NCAA Championships. He also earned USTFCCCA First Team All-American honors for running the third leg on the 4x400. Finished seventh in the 400-meter hurdles at the Lone Star Conference Championships running a seasonal-best 53.16. He was also part of the 4x400 the finished second at the championships.

Personal: Born on July 1, 1991. Son of Darryl Schaffer and Catherina Pappalardo. Has two siblings. Majoring in sports and exercise science at West Texas A&M.
