2021 Outdoor: Earned Second Team All-Lone Star Conference honors after finishing 3rd in the 5,000 and 10,000-meters. Ran 31:33.63 in the 10,000m that began after midnight due to a weather delay followed by a 15:17.76 performance in the 5,0000m. Ran a personal best time of 31:14.86 in the 10,000m at the Flames Invitational. Also ran 14:48.01 in the 5,000m at the Texas Relays. 
 
2021 Indoor: Out of eligibility.
 
2020 Cross Country: Out of eligibility. 

2020 Outdoor: Canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic. 

2020 Indoor: Lone Star Conference 5,000-meter Champion running 15:14.80 to defeat Lubbock Christian’s Kenyan Abdi. He also ran a personal best time of 8:48.88 to finish third in the 3,000-meters. Ran the fourth-fastest 5,00om time, 14:28.02, at the Boston University Last Chance. Finished third in the 5,000m at the Crimson & Gold Invitational in 15:02.74.  Also recorded Top 10 finishes at the Texas Tech Shootout, Wendy’s Pittsburg State Invitational and Corky Classic. 

2019 Cross Country:  Was the Buffs second runner at the NCAA Division II Men’s Cross Country Championships as he finished 68th covering the 10,000-meter course in 31:12.3 at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex in Sacramento, Calif.  Finished 35th at the South Central Regional Championships. Finished 10th at the Lone Star Conference Championships to earn All-Conference recognition. Placed 91st at the Greater Louisville Classic with a seasonal-best time of 25:00.4. Finished 17th at the Texas A&M Invitational. Finished 11th at the Buffalo Stampede to open the season.

De Anza College: Spent two years at De Anza College where. He ran personal bests of. 4:26.47 (1,500m), 16:50.08. (5,000m) and 10:21.19 (3,000m steeplechase). 
 
Willow Glen High School: Graduated in 2015. 
 
Personal: Born on November 24, 1997. Son of Fatima Samater and Mahad Omer. Has five siblings. Majoring in computer science.
