Matt Cole 2015 Statistics

2015: Started in 54 games in the infield for the Buffs… Led the team with a .317 batting average, 64 hits, 16 doubles, three triples, one home run… Had 35 RBI and tallied 89 bases while slugging .441… Reached base at a .393 clip and had 63 put outs with 8 assists for a .923 fielding percentage… Had 19 multi-hit games with six multi-RBI games including five against Cameron (May 2)… Was one of two players to be named Lone Star Conference Hitter of the Week twice throughout the season… Named to Daktronics All-Region second team and LSC second team.

Mission College: Earned second team all-conference honors for the Saints and head coach Mike Perez.

San Jose State: Played in 10 games and made one start as an infielder...made first appearance in the Spartan uniform on February 20 at UC Davis...3-for-13 (.231) hitting for the season...2-for-2 with an RBI-double against Texas State (4/21)...starting third baseman on April 30 at USF where he went 1-for-3 and stole a base...ended the season with a .375 on-base percentage.

Grants Pass High School: A three-year letterwinning infielder at Grants Pass (Ore.) High School...was a First-Team Southern Oregon Hybrid All-Star selection in 2012...also named to the Class 6A Southern Oregon First-Team as a shortstop.

Personal: Born Aug. 28, 1994...Has one sibling...Plans on majoring in criminal justice at WT.
