Biography

Career:  Has played in 22 games with 12 starts and making 41 saves and has posted a 1.26 GAA and .661 save percentage. Has a career record of 8-3-3. Tallied 1,503 minutes on the field. 

2014: Ruiz appeared in four games his senior season and made two starts between the pipes for the Buffs. He played 241 minutes while going 2-0 and contributing to a shutout. Ruiz allowed four goals for a 1.49 GAA and made 10 saves, giving him a .714 save percentage on the season.

2013: Appeared in four games with 66 minutes of action during his junior year. Allowed no goals and added one save while contributing to two shutouts.

2012: Played in seven games while making five starts. Made 14 saves with a record of 3-2 for the season. Tallied 491 minutes his sophomore year. 

2011: Ruiz saw time in seven matches with five starts as a true freshman in 2011, registering 595 minutes with 16 saves and eight goals against for a record of 3-2-1. Ruiz faced 42 shots on the season and recorded his first career win on the road against St. Mary’s on Oct. 14.

High School: Ruiz graduated from Universidad del Futbol in Pachuca, Mexico in 2009.

Personal: Ruiz is the son of Victor Ruiz and Pilar Vanegas and is majoring in Management at West Texas A&M.
