Erin Anderson enters her third year at West Texas A&M after being hired in the summer of 2023. Anderson will primarily work as an athletic trainer for track & field as well as women's soccer.
Before coming to Canyon, she was at Midland University in Fremont Nebraska working with the nationally ranked volleyball, men’s and women’s wrestling, golf, and softball teams. She also taught in the Master of Athletic Training Program Practicum Classes.
Anderson graduated from Indiana State University in May 2023 with her Doctorate in Athletic Training with research comparing the Upper and Lower Y-Balance Test and the Bunkie Test in performance relationships.
Before receiving her DAT, Anderson was at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She oversaw and organized the orthopedic clinic for all UNK students including the performance arts and ROTC programs. During that time, she worked on her Master of Arts in Education in Exercises Science with a thesis comparing dynamic and static rehabilitation exercises in anterior knee pain in dancers.
Anderson earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2019. During that time, she was able to work two National Championships for track and field as well as a National Championship for men’s wrestling hosted at La Crosse.
Anderson lives in Canyon with her husband Cody and their dog Cooper.
