2019-20 NABC Academic Honors Court

2019-20 (Junior)
Appeared in nine games for the Buffs as a junior. Averaged 2.6 minutes per contest. Scored a season-high four points against Western New Mexico on Jan. 30 at the First United Bank Center. Also recorded rebounds against Angelo State and Midwestern State. 

2018-19 (Sophomore)
Appeared in 20 games during his first season as a Buff scoring 12 points going 5-of-7 from the floor and 2-of-4 from the free throw line with 13 rebounds. Scored a season-high five points against Western New Mexico (2/7) with four rebounds in six minutes. Also scored against Adams State (11/10), Science & Arts (11/17) and MSU Texas (12/1). 

Clarendon High School:
Johnson comes to Canyon after an impressive prep career at Clarendon High School where he was named the Golden Spread 2A Player of the Year as a senior. He also earned First Team Amarillo Globe-News Super Team recognition as well as TABC All-State and All-Region honors. He averaged 14.3 points and 7.1 rebounds per game while shooting 64.9% from the floor to help his team to the 2A State Finals in 2017.
