Lone Star Conference Defensive Player of the Week (1x)

2020-21 (Sophomore)
Had a breakout season for the Buffs appearing in 19 games including starts in the final eight games of the season. Averaged 5.0 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game shooting 63.8 percent from the floor, 50.0 percent from beyond the arc and 69.0 percent from the free throw line. Also pulled down 80 rebounds, 38 on the offensive glass, with 26 blocks, five assists and five steals. Scored in double figures twice including a 12-point performance in the Lone Star Conference Championship against St. Edward’s. Pulled down a career-high 10 rebounds in the Buffs 101-92 victory over Lubbock Christian in the NCAA Division II South Central Regional Final. Was named the LSC Defensive Player of the Wek after his 5-block performance against Cameron on Feb. 19. 

2019-20 (Freshman)
Appeared in 23 games as a true freshman averaging 4.6. minutes, 1.6 points and 1.2. rebounds per game. Also recorded eight blocks, six steals and four assists. Scored a season-high 11 points in 14 minutes against Western Colorado on Nov. 9. Also made his first career 3-pointer against the Mountaineers. Recorded two blocks in four different games. Played a season-high 15 minutes against Oklahoma City on Dec. 6. 

Samuel Clemens High School:
Earned First Team All-District honors as a senior after averaging 14 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks. Was also named the Newcomer of the Year.

Born on June 22, 2001. Son of Sharon May and Chandler Baker. Has four siblings. Majoring in sports and exercise science.
