Biography
GENERAL – This physical forward joined the Buffaloes from the very successful Midland College program.
2009-10 – Tubb suffered a season-ending knee injury in the Buffs’ Jan. 23 contest against Tarleton State. Prior to that point, he had seen action in 12 contests. He came off the bench to tally three points (on a three-point shot) and four rebounds in 17 minutes of activity in the Buffs’ season-opening contest at New Mexico Highlands. In a similar role against Arkansas Tech, he contributed four points, three rebounds and one assist. Tubb also pulled down a pair of rebounds in five minute of action at Central Oklahoma and grabbed one rebound and blocked a shot at Midwestern State.
JUNIOR COLLEGE – Tubb sat out the 2008-09 season as a redshirt at Midland (Texas) College. While there, he was a member of the squad that was runner-up in the NCAAA National tournament.
HIGH SCHOOL – Tubb attended Grady (Lenorah, Texas) HS. While playing for coach Shawn Harrison’s Wildcats, he averaged 20 points and 11 rebounds to help lead the team to a 22-3 record. He was selected TABC first team all-State, all-Region and was District 8-1A Most Valuable Player. A football letterwinner, as well, he was selected as Texas Six-Man Player of the Year, while also being honored as Class of 2008 Valedictorian.
PERSONAL – Tubb is majoring in Pre-Mechanical Engineering at WTAMU. He is the son of Rhonda and Johnny Tubb of Lenorah, Texas.
