Zach Toussaint

Zach Toussaint enters his second season on the sideline for the Buffaloes, being promoted to Assistant Coach in the summer of 2025.

Toussaint transitioned to the Buffs' coaching staff in 2024-25 as a student assistant after a standout career on the hardwood for the Maroon & White. Toussaint recorded an incredible five-year career, appearing in a program-record 157 games during that time. One of the best shooters to go through the West Texas A&M program.

The Johnsburg, Illinois native converted 589 of his 1,333 field goal attempts (.442) and 382 of his 915 three-point attempts (.417). At the free throw line Toussaint went 263-of-298 (.883). His 1,823 points rank second all-time on the Buffs' career scoring records while his field goals (5th), field goal attempts (2nd), three-pointers (2nd), three-point attempts (2nd), and three-point percentage (2nd) all rank inside the top five of the program's history.

Zach’s contributions on the court helped his teams to three Lone Star Conference regular season titles, four Lone Star Conference tournament titles, five NCAA Tournament appearances and two NCAA South Central Regional Titles. In 2021, Toussaint nailed a game-winning three-pointer to send the Buffs to their first NCAA Division II National Championship game in program history. Toussaint and the Buffs returned to the Elite Eight in 2024 where WT beat North Georgia in the national quarterfinals before falling to Minnesota State in the Final Four.
