GENERAL: After missing the 2009 season due to injury, Farris will be looking to return to the form he displayed in 2008, when he ranked sixth in total tackles among all Buff defenders.
2009: Farris, who was selected as a team captain prior to the season, received a medical redshirt after missing the entire season after suffering a broken leg during preseason drills. During the 2010 Maroon-White game, he logged a game-high nine tackles, including a QB sack and one PBU.
2008: Farris was used extensively as both an outside linebacker as well as on special teams in all 13 contests. For the season, he registered 44 total tackles (24 solo, 20 assisted), including 1.5 stops for lost yardage. His high-tackle outing came against Northeastern State, when he registered nine stops, while he also accumulated eight total tackles against Azusa Pacific.
2007: Farris saw action in seven contests. During that time, he registered five tackles (two solo and three assisted).
2006: Redshirt season
HIGH SCHOOL: Farris played at both linebacker and receiver for Nazareth (Texas) HS, earning all-District and Defensive MVP honors and earning an Amarillo Globe News Player of the Month tab. A four-sport letterman with the Swifts, he also lettered in baseball, basketball and track & field.
MAJOR: Farris is majoring in Agri-Business at WTAMU.
