Biography
2022: Saw time in nine games on the defensive line for the Buffaloes during the 2022 campaign. Registered 17 total tackles (10 solo, seven assisted). Tallied a season-high six tackles in the Wagon Wheel Game against Eastern New Mexico.
2021: Saw time in all 11 games for the Buffs in 2021, finished the season with 39 total tackles (17 solo, 22 assisted) with six of those coming for a loss to go along with 1.5 sacks and a pass breakup. Registered a season-high seven tackles on the road at Texas A&M-Kingsville.
2020:Â Appeared in two games at defensive tackle. Recorded three sacks, all coming in his first appearance of the season at Angelo State on Sept. 26.Â
2019: Medical redshirt.
2018: Played in 10 games including three starts at nose guard where he recorded 20 tackles (11 solo, 9 assisted), 5.0 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and a safety. Recorded a season-high 4 tackles against Eastern New Mexico. Recorded 1.0 tackle for loss against Tarleton, UT Permian Basin, Texas A&M-Commerce and ENMU. Recorded 0.5 sacks against TSU, UTPB and Texas A&M-Kingsville. Recorded his first career safety against Angelo State in WT’s 26-18 win over the Rams.
2017: Redshirted.
Abernathy High School: Earned honorable mention all-state honors and was a three-time first team all-district honoree.
Personal: Mother is Fina Rivera. Plans on majoring in education.
