Biography

GENERAL: This Houston-area product  showed his big-play potential as a tight end in 2009.


2009: For the year, the Aldine, Texas, native, led the Buffs in receptions (66), while averaging 12.8 yards per catch and 70.6 yards per game.  The Buffs’ receiving leader in total catches, Williams closed out the regular season with an eight-catch, 148 yard, one TD outing at Tarleton State.  He enjoyed a season-high nine receptions (for 86 yards and one TD) at Northeastern State, while has also enjoying an eight-catch game (for 64 yards) at #1-ranked Abilene Christian. He twice had seven-reception outings, one being a 77 yard performance at #23-Midwestern State and a season-high 171 yards against Angelo State (including a season-long 79 yard TD reception).


2008: As a true freshman, Williams saw duty in nine contests.  During that time, he grabbed four receptions for 27 yards.  Against Azusa Pacific, he had two catches for 19 yards (with a long of 14 yards), while he had one catch for five yards against Northeastern State and one catch for three yards at Eastern New Mexico.


HIGH SCHOOL: Williams had 63 catches to earn first team all-District honors at Aldine (Texas) HS. He also received varsity letters in baseball and track & field.


MAJOR: Williams is undecided on an academic major at WTAMU.
