2013 Season Stats

Career Stats: Played and started in 28 games thus far.  Has 101 total tackles with 66 solo tackles.  Recorded 3.5 tackles for loss for 14 yards and five interceptions.  Oakley has 11 pass breakups in his career and one forced fumble.

2013: Played and started all 14 games in the secondary for the Buffs.  Tallied 44  total tackles with 30 solo stops.  Had one tackle for loss for three yards, along with two interceptions and led the team in pass breakups with eight.  Also had one forced fumble.  Had a season-high eight tackles with six solo stops in the thrilling win over Chadron State in the Lone Star Football Festival.  Had interceptions in back-to-back games against Chadron State and Texas A&M-Commerce.  Earned honorable mention all-conference honors.

2012: Saw action in 14 games with 14 starts.  Had 57 total tackles with 36 solo stops.  Tallied 2.5 tackles for loss for 11 yards and tied for second on the team in interceptions with three for nine yards.  Had four pass breakups.  Recorded a season-high 11 total tackles in the NCAA Tournament game at Chadron State with nine solo stops.  Earned second team all-conference accolades.

2011: Oakley saw limited time on the field for the Buffs as a redshirt freshman.

2010: Redshirted.

Oak Ridge High School: Oakley graduated from Oak Ridge HS (Texas) in 2010, playing in the backfield for the War Eagles under the guidance of head coach Bob Barret. Oakley was the District 14-5A Offensive Player of the Year as a junior and was also a State Finalist in the 100m Dash.

Personal: Born August 2, 1992.  Parents are Rodney and Melanie Oakley.  Has one sibling Jasmyn.  Majoring in mechanical engineering at West Texas A&M.
