Ben Kozak is now in his fifth season as primary athletic performance coach for football at West Texas A&M.
    
Coach Kozak comes to Canyon from Louisiana Tech University where he worked with football and softball. Prior to his time at La Tech, he spent 2015-2017 at Midland University. 
    
Coach Kozak graduated with his master's degree in Leadership in Adult & Organizational Learning from Midland University (NE) and earned his undergraduate degree from Benedictine College (KS) where he double majored in Strength & Conditioning, and Physical Education with a concentration in coaching. 
While at Benedictine College he played on the offensive line and helped the Raven football program win the 2013 HAAC championship.  Kozak and his fiancé Krista, areside in Amarillo with their dog Layla. 
    
The Eagle River, Alaska native has multiple certifications including:  
  • CSCCA - Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) 
  • NSCA - Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) 
  • NSCA - Registered Strength & Conditioning Coach (RSCC) 
  • PN - Precision Nutrition Level 1 Certified

  • CFSC - L1 practitioner 
  • NCSF - Certified Strength Coach (CSC)
