2012 Season Stats

2012: Tallied 29 total tackles while playing in 11 games with five starts.  Had 12 solo stops for the season with four tackles for loss for 21 yards and 2.5 sacks for 17 yards.  Recorded one forced fumble with one fumble return, along with three quarterback hurries and one pass  breakup.  Had one safety against Abilene Christian and scored a touchdown on the fumble return against Western State. 

Grossmont College: He had 12.5 tackles for loss, seven sacks, six quarterback hurries, an interception and a forced fumble as a sophomore. Was an all-America selection in junior college in California.   Signed with Nevada out of JUCO and had offers from Boise State, Texas Tech, BYU and Indiana. 

Valhalla High School: Earned first team all-east county, first team all-state, East County Player of the Year and was an all-state defensive selection.  Helped lead his team to a 10-2 record as a senior.  Had offers from Arizona State, UCLA, San Diego State out of high school.

Personal: Born October 25, 1991.  Parents are Gregory and Amelia Pennix.  Plans on majoring in communication with a minor in business at WT.
