GENERAL: A D/FW Metroplex product, Sanders should battle for a starting position along the Buffs’ defensive line.
2009: Seeing action in all 12 contests, Sanders logged a total of 20 tackles (eight solo, 12 assisted), including two assisted stops behind the line of scrimmage. He registered a career-high six stops (four solo, two assisted) against Central Oklahoma, as well as a five tackle (one solo, four assisted) outing against TAMU-Kingsville. He forced a fumble against Eastern New Mexico and recorded a trio of QB hurries against TAMU-Kingsville.
2008: Sanders saw action in six contests. For the year, he registered six tackles, all assisted stops. He also was in on one QB sack, resulting in a six-yard loss at Angelo State. He recorded a pair of two-tackle outings, with those coming against Midwestern State and at Angelo State.
2007: Redshirt season.
HIGH SCHOOL: Sanders lettered for three years and led Lewisville (Texas) Flower Mound to an 8-3 record in 2006. He was honored with first team all-District recognition after tallying 77 tackles, six sacks, five forced fumbles and one interception.
MAJOR: Sanders is majoring in Sports & Exercise Science at WTAMU.
