2014 Season Stats

Career Stats:  Has 155 total tackles with 60 solo stops.  Has played in 23 games with 19 starts.  Has 21 tackles for loss for 90 yards and 7.5 sacks for 47 yards.  Has three pass breakups, three quarterback hurries, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. 

2014: Earned second team all-conference honors as a sophomore.  Finished second on the team in tackles with 85.  Had 35 solo stops.  Recorded five tackles for loss for 13 yards and two sacks for two yards.  Tallied two pass breakups and one quarterback hurry.  Played in nine  games with eight starts.  Had a career-best 17 tackles against Tarleton State (Sept. 13) and added 10 total stops in the season finale at Eastern New Mexico (Nov. 15).  Tallied a season-best seven solo tackles (8 total) versus Shorter (Sept. 20). 

2013: Had an outstanding redshirt freshman year for the Buffs as he earned honorable mention all-conference honors.  Named LSC Freshman of the Year.  He finished fourth on the team in total tackles with 70, including 25 solo stops.  Was second with 16 tackles for loss for 77 yards and recorded 5.5 sacks for 45 yards which also was second on the team.  He had two pass breakups with two quarterback hurries, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble.  Had a season-high 13 total tackles and six solo stops at Midwestern State with two tackles for loss and one sack.  Ha tackles in 13 of 14 games as he played in all 14 games with 11 starts.

2012: Redshirted.

Forney High School: Three time all-district selection for head coach Kevin Rush.  Led team in tackles all three years.  Also participated in baseball and basketball.  Lettered all four years and was a three-time all-district selection in both sports. 

Personal: Born March 3, 1994.  Parents are Kim and Jerry Youngman.  Has one sibling Ashlee.  Plans on majoring in business with a sport and exercise science minor at WT.
