Biography

2018: All-Lone Star Conference Honorable Mention. Academic All-LSC. Appeared in 11 games with 10 starts at right guard as a senior where he blocked for 2nd Team All-Lone Star Conference running back Duke Carter IV.

2017: Played and started ten games on the offensive line. Named Academic All-Lone Star Conference in 2017. 

2016: Saw action in two games at UT Permian Basin (9/18) and at Oklahoma Panhandle State (10/15) both on the offensive line.

2015: Played in 10 games with nine starts for the Buffs on the offensive line. Helped block for a line protecting Ethan Brinkley who had the fifth-highest completion percentage in the nation last season (66.8) and Geremy Alridge-Mitchell who rushed for 1,296 yards who was third in the LSC and 15th nationally. Named to LSC Academic Honor Roll.

2014: Redshirted.

Permian High School: Played for the Panthers under head coach Blake Feld. Saw time on the offensive line and defensive end. Named academic all-district and academic all-state in football and basketball. Also competed in track & field.

Personal: Born February 12, 1996. Parents are Mike and Corina Whitfield. Has one sibling. Plans on majoring in criminal justice at WT.
