2018: All-Lone Star Conference Honorable Mention. Appeared in all 11 games as a senior where he recorded 43 tackles (20 solo, 43 assisted), 7.5 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks and 2 fumble recoveries. Had a season-high 8 tackles, 1.5 sacks and fumble recovery against Eastern New Mexico in the Wagon Wheel Game followed by a 7-tackle performance against Texas A&M-Kingsville two weeks later. Recorded 1.5 tackles for loss against Tarleton and ENMU. Also recovered a fumble against Texas A&M-Kingsville.

2017: Finished fourth on the team in tackles with 61, playing and starting all 11 games. Had 35 solo stops with 7.5 tackles for loss for 39 yards ranking tied for second on the team. Recorded five sacks for 32 yards for second on the team, while ranking second on the team in quarterback hurries with seven. Earned honorable mention all-conference honors. Recorded solo stops, two tackles for loss and one sack in the season-finale against Western New Mexico (11/11). Had a total of eight tackles twice during the season with the first being against UT Permian Basin, along with one tackle for loss and 1.5 sacks. Recorded two hurries twice.

2016: Played in all 11 games with one start. Had 28 tackles with 15 solo stops, along with 4.5 tackles for loss for 20 yards and 2.5 sacks for 13 yards. Had his best game with three solo tackles at CSU-Pueblo (9/10) with three tackles for loss for eight yards and two sacks for four yards. Recorded a season-high four solo tackles and six total stops at Western New Mexico in the season finale (11/12).

2015: Did not see any action.

2014: Redshirted.

LBJ High School: Played defensive end under head coach Andrew Jackson at LBJ Austin High School. Was the Jaguars’ MVP and the district 26-4A lineman of the year his senior year. All-A honor roll member.

Personal: Born June 21, 1996. Parents are Sharonda Holton and Kerry Hyder. Has six siblings. Plans on majoring in criminal justice at WT.
