GENERAL: This talented defensive lineman looks to return to his 2008 form after being injured early in the 2009 season-opener.
2009: Thomas received a medical hardship after missing th entire season due to a knee injury suffered during the season-opening contest against Grand Valley State. In that game, he recorded one solo tackle, that being behind the line for a three-yard loss.
2008: Thomas saw action in all 13 contests and recorded 10 tackles (five solo, five assisted). He had a season-high three stops at Eastern New Mexico (one solo, two assisted), as well as having one tackle behind the line for a loss of minus-one yard. He also netted two stop efforts at TAMU-Kingsville as well as against Northeastern State.
Junior College: Thomas was a member of City College of San Francisco’s 2007 squad which posted a record of 10-1 and captured North County, state as well as National championships. Playing for head coach George Rush, Thomas was named team captain and was an All-League First-Team honoree. He posted three sacks and forced a pair of fumbles in the North California championship game.
HIGH SCHOOL: Thomas helped lead Oceanside (Calif.) HS to an 11-0 record and the Avocado league championship as a senior. He was a first team all-Avocado League selection, while also competing in volleyball.
MAJOR: Thomas is a General Studies major at WTAMU.
