2012: Handled the Buffs' punting and kickoff duties all season. Ranked 28th nationally in punting average at 40.74 per kick. Had 54 punts for 2,220 yards for the season. Kicked a career-long of 74 at Chadron State in the NCAA Tournament. Had 19 punts inside the 20, eight of 50 yards or more, five touchbacks and two blocked. Tallied 104 kickoffs for 6,544 yards with 64 touchbacks and a 62.9 average per kick. Earned honorable mention all-conference honors.
2011: VanVoris impressed during his sophomore campaign with the Buffs in 2011, seeing time in all 11 games for WT. VanVoris punted the ball 45 times for a total of 1,929 yards to average 45.9 yards per punt while registering four touchbacks, 12 punts inside the 20 yard line, and 12 punts of over 50 yards with a long of 68 yards. The Elizabeth, Colorado native was named to the All-Lone Star Conference First Team for his efforts on the field.
2010: VanVoris stepped into a starting punter role for the Buffs as a true freshman in 2010. VanVoris tallied 23 punts for a total of 891 yards to average 38.7 yards per punt while tallying one touchback, nine punts inside the 20 yard line and a long of 58 yards with one punt being blocked.
Elizabeth High School: VanVoris attended Jurupa Valley HS (California) before graduating from Elizabeth HS (Colorado) in 2006, being named an All-State selection for the Cardinals while at EHS.
