Career Stats:  Has played in 16 games with six total tackles. 

2013: Played in 12 games with five total tackles in the secondary.  Had a season-high three total tackles at McMurry.  Had one pass breakup against Central State.

2012: Saw action in four games and was in on one tackle at Angelo State.

2011: Redshirted.

Willowridge High School: Staten graduated from Willowridge HS (Texas) in 2011, playing corner and safety for the Eagles under the guidance of head coach James McDonald. Staten was an Academic All-State nominee as a senior and was also a member of the National Honor Society and ranked first in his graduating class. He also lettered in track for two seasons at WHS.

Personal: Born June 21, 1993.  Mother is Lakesia Scruggs.  Has one sibling Kharizma Johnson. Plans on majoring in biology at WT.
