Biography

GENERAL: A true all-around performer, Flemming represents the Buffs' leading rusher and receiver returning for the 2009 campaign. Last season saw the Mesquite, Texas, native add to his status as an 'all-around' performer in 2008 by displaying his skills on the defensive side of the ball while recovering from a hand injury. He enters his senior campaign with 10 career 100-yard performances and is just 172 yards shy of a top-10 berth on the WT career rushing yardage list.

2008: Flemming accounted for four 100-yard rushing performances, rushing for a season-total of 756 yards and 13 TDs while catching 39 passes for 341 yards and 1 TD, while overall, he accumulated a total of 1,143 all-purpose yards. Those numbers were less than the norm, however, as he played sparingly during two contests (against Abilene Christian and Angelo State), while missing the Eastern New Mexico game entirely while nursing a broken hand suffered against Midwestern State. At Central Oklahoma, Flemming showed the form that earned him LSC Newcomer of the Year honors the previous year, rushing for 124 yards and one TD on 15 carries and followed that by gaining 121 yards against Southwestern Oklahoma. While playing on the defensive side of the ball (at safety), he recorded three tackles (including one for lost yardage) and forced a fumble against Northeastern State. Upon his return to the offensive lineup, against Tarleton State in the regular-season finale, Flemming erupted for his third 100-yard rushing performance of the season, stepping off a season-high 128 rushing yards and two TDs, as well as catching five passes for an additional 27 yards. He followed that with a 99-yard, 4 rushing TD effort against Central Washington in the NCAA Playoffs, then concluded the season with 105 yards rushing and an additional 55 yards in receptions in the Buffs' NCAA Playoff contest at Abilene Christian.

2007: Flemming became the first Buffalo running back to eclipse the 1,000 yard season rushing mark since the 2000 season as he netted 1,198 yards and 12 TDs on 160 carries. A true three-way threat, Flemming also caught a team-high 73 catches for 647 yards and five TDs. His 17 touchdowns and 102 total points led all Buff scorers. He also put his name into both the WT and LSC record books by breaking a 99-yard touchdown run against Angelo State. That jaunt tied a WT mark originally set in 1970 (Ralph Thompson vs. Wichita State) and an LSC and national record which was duplicated during the 2007 season. Flemming opened the season by accumulating 221 yards of total offense, including 166 on the ground, against South Dakota. In addition to finding the end zone a season-high four times in that contest, he was honored the following week as the LSC Offensive Player of the Week. He recorded a total of six 100+yard rushing outings, as in addition to the South Dakota contest he gained 105 yards vs. Adams State, 107 yards at Midwestern State, 144 yard vs. Eastern New Mexico, 113 yards at Abilene Christian, and a season-high 201 yards vs. Angelo State. Flemming also continually provided the Buffs decent field position in the kicking game, as he had 20 punt returns for 207 yards (10.4 ypr.) with a long of 32 yards, while also returning a trio of kickoffs for 17 yards.

2006: After transferring to WTAMU, Flemming was a squad member who did not see action.

2005: Flemming was redshirted as a member of the Univ. of Wyoming football team.

MAJOR: Flemming is majoring in Education at WTAMU.
