2010 Season Stats
Career Stats: Played in 37 games with two starts as a junior. Tallied 56 total tackles with 23 solo stops. Has one tackle for loos, one quarterback hurry, one pass breakup and an interception for 52 yards for a touchdown. He is 1 for 1 in passes for two yards and a touchdown on a fake field goal. He also has a punt return for a touchdown.
2012: Saw action in all 15 games with two starts. Tallied 16 solo tackles and 36 total stops. Had one quarterback hurry. Also was the holder for place kicking as he threw a touchdown pass for two yards at West Georgia on a fake field goal. It was his first career pass and thrown touchdown. Earned second team CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-America honors.
2011: McSheffery saw limited time on both sides of the ball for the Buffs as a sophomore in 2011, seeing time in all 11 games. The Sulphur Springs native carried the ball one time for a loss of a yard while also tallying four total tackles (1 solo, 3 assisted) on the defensive side of the ball with a pass breakup and an interception against Angelo State on Homecoming. For his efforts in the classroom, McSheffery was named to the LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
2010: McSheffery saw time in 11 of the 12 games played during his redshirt freshman season for the Buffs in 2010. McSheffery tallied 16 total tackles (6 solo, 10 assisted) with one of them falling behind the line of scrimmage. The redshirt freshman also excelled in the classroom, being named a member of the All-LSC Academic Team as well as a member of the ESPN/COSIDA Academic All-District 6 Second Team.
2009: Redshirt season.
Sulphur Springs High School: McSheffery was a member of Sulphur Springs’ 2008 Class 4A State championship team, as well as being a first team all-district and AP all-State honorable selection as a defensive back. He was a member of the National Honor Society and was a first-team Academic all-district selection.
Personal: Born March 21, 1990. Parents are John and Laura McSheffery. Has two siblings Micaela and Melissa. McSheffery is majoring in sports and exercise science at West Texas A&M.
