Biography

2013: A member of the practice squad and didn't see any action as a redshirt freshman.

2012: Redshirted.

Boyd High School: Broke high school career passing record with 5,095 yards and 50 touchdowns in 2011.  Went 192 for 311 with 3,148 yards, 32 touchdowns and seven interceptions.  Earned TSWA all-state honors, APSE all-state accolades, offensive district MVP. Broke school single season passing record in 2011.  Named Wise County MVP.  Had 1,974 passing yards, 20 TD's and 174 completions in 2010.  Also played baseball and was highly successful on the diamond. 

Personal: Born March 2, 1993.  Parents are Kevin and Dawn Cate.  Has two siblings Kelsey and Cara.  Has not decided on a major at WT.
