Biography

GENERAL: An athletic two-sport athlete, Mayer will be vying for activity at the receiver position.

2008: Redshirt season. As a member of the WT Track & Field team, Mayer was an all-LSC performer in the high jump, capturing the gold medal for the event at the Lone Star Conference Championships and recording WT[apos]s first-ever conference gold medal since the program was resurrected.

HIGH SCHOOL: Mayer was a two-year letterwinner in football at Lubbock (Texas) Monterey HS. As a wide receiver and free safety, he helped lead the Plainsman to the bi-district playoffs in 2007 after going 11-2 and earning the Area championship in 2006. Mayer was also a regional qualifier in the high jump in track & field.

MAJOR: Mayer has yet to declare an academic major at WTAMU.
