2015 Season Stats

2015: Played in nine games with eight starts in his first season behind center for the Buffs...Went 187 of 280 passing for 2,157 yards with 13 touchdowns and seven interceptions...Saw his first action in relief in the thrilling 31-30 win over Colorado State-Pueblo and played every snap the rest of the season...Scored one rushing touchdown against Eastern New Mexico...Passed for a career-high 387 yards against ENMU and tossed three touchdowns matching his career-high set with three TD passes against Tarleton State in the LSC Football Festival...His career-long pass of 89 yards came against ENMU, too...Led the LSC in completion percentage (66.8) which was fifth nationally, while raking 29th in completions per game (20.78) and 44th in passing efficiency (141.8)...Averaged 239.7 yards per game which was fourth in the LSC and 47th nationally...Went 5-3 as a starter for the Buffs winning the final four games of the season.

2014: Was a member of the practice team in 2014 and didn't see any action behind center. 

2013: Redshirted.

Rockdale High School: Is school's all-time leading passer with over 4,600 yards.  He is a two-time first team all-district selection.  Played for head coach Jeff Miller and started 31 games in his high school career.  Also competed in baseball where he lettered three years and was a second team all-state selection.

Personal: Born March 22, 1995.  Parents are Greg and Debbie Brinkley.  Has two siblings Sarah and Emily.  Has not decided on a major at WT.
