2020: Started in five games during his fourth season in Canyon recording the third-most tackles on the team with 46. He also recorded five tackles for loss, two sacks, two QB hurries and an interception. Recorded double digit tackles in two games including a career-high 14 in a win over Angelo State on Oct. 24. Recorded sacks against Oklahoma Panhandle State and ASU. Also recorded his first career interception in the season finale against Pittsburg State. 

2019: Had another outstanding season at linebacker for the Buffs recording the fourth-most tackles and second in tackles for loss. He recorded 67 tackles (31 solo, 36 assisted) in 11 starts to go along with 12.0 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks. He also recorded four pass breakups, seven QB hurries and two forced fumbles. Recorded a season-high nine tackles including 2.0 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks in the Buffs win over Central Washington at Buffalo Stadium. 

2018: All-Lone Star Conference 2nd Team. Started in all 11 games as a sophomore where he finished second on the team with 77 tackles (39 solo, 38 assisted), 8.5 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, 6 quarterback hurries and 2 forced fumbles. Had a season-high 12 tackles in WT’s 26-18 win over Angelo State on Oct. 13. Recorded at least 1 tackle for loss in seven of 11 games including a season-high 2 in the season finale at MSU Texas. Had a forced fumble in the season opener at Azusa Pacific followed by another against Western New Mexico.

2017: Started all 11 games as a true freshman at linebacker. Recorded 56 tackles with 35 solo stops. His 56 tackles ranked fifth on the team. Recorded six tackles for loss for 30 yards as his six TFLs was fourth-most on the team. Had 2.5 sacks for 15 yards, three breakups, three hurries and one forced fumble. Recorded nine total tackles twice with seven solo stops in each game. Had two tackles for loss twice, while recording his first sack in the upset win over Colorado State-Pueblo for six yards, along with forcing a fumble.

Bishop Dunne High School: Helped lead his team to a state runner-up finish in football . Played both sides of the ball. Collins finished his senior year with 71 total tackles, 53 solo tackles, five sacks, one interception and one fumble recovery. Also competed in track.

Personal: Born June 3, 1999. Parents are Stephen and Keshia Cato. Has three siblings. Plans on majoring in sports and exercise science at WT.
