Hereford High School: Graduated in Hereford, Texas in 2018 where he played on both sides of the ball for head coach Don Delozier. He earned 2nd Team All-District honors as a senior. Also lettered in baseball.
 
Personal: Son of Michelle and Eddie Ellis and has one sibling. Plans on majoring in business management at West Texas A&M.
