Skenar begins his second year at West Texas A&M and first as a graduate assistant working with the tight ends.
He spent the 2019 season as a student assistant mentoring the quarterbacks under former offensive coordinator Jake Brown where Nick Gerber became the first Buff to throw for over 2,000 yards since 2015. He also rushed for a team-high eight touchdowns as the Buffs finished 8-3, their most wins since 2013.
Skenar graduated with a Bachelor’s in general studies in 2020 after beginning his collegiate career at Kansas Wesleyan as a backup quarterback and punter.
He was a three-sport star at Elkhart High School in Elkhart, Kan. Earning all-state honors on the gridiron and hardwood. He was also a three-year letter winner on the baseball diamond.
