Ryan Heaston

Heaston enters his first season as the running back coach at West Texas A&M after spending one season in the same position at Ravenwood High School in Brentwood, Tenn.

Prior to starting his coaching career, Heaston had a standout career as a running back at Missouri State where he rushed for over 1,500 yards and four touchdowns. He was named a College Sports Journal Freshman All-American in 2013 after rushing for 367 yards and two touchdowns on 66 carries. He was also a member of the Jerry Rice Award Watch List while also being named the Missouri State Media Player of the Week three times.

He graduated with a bachelor’s from Missouri State in 2015 and obtained his master’s degree in Sports Administration from Tennessee State in 2017.
