Patric Youngman begins his first season as a graduate assistant coach at WT after spending last year as an offensive assistant. He played for the Buffs as he played in 2013 and 2014 earning numerous accolades at linebacker.Â
Youngman finished his career with 155 total tackles and 60 solo stops. He played in 23 games with 19 stats and had 21 tackles for loss for 90 yards and 7.5 sacks for 47 yards. Youngman recorded three pass breakups, three quarterback hurries, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
He was named LSC Freshman of the Year and honorable mention all-conference in 2013 as the Buffs went 11-3 with a berth in the NCAA Quarterfinals. He finished fourth on the team in tackles (70), including 25 solo stops, while ranking second on the team in tackles for loss with 16 for 77 yards. As a sophomore, he earned second team all-conference honors and finished second on the team in tackles with 85 and 35 solo stops.Â
The Forney, Texas, native was a three-time all-district selection and led the team in tackles for three years.Â
