Logan Mitchell begins his first year at West Texas A&M after graduating from Texas Tech in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in history and a minor in excercise and sports sciences. He most recently worked as equipment manager at Texas Tech where he worked under Zane Perry, helping with all practice sessions and football inventory. Mitchell was part of the practice setup crew in the spring of 2015.

Last fall, he was promoted to practice crew where he worked with special teams. He began learning film sessions under Coach Emmet Jones (Outside WR Coach at Texas Tech). Last spring, Mitchell worked with special teams under Coach Joe Robinson and ran statistical analysis of player performance during practice.

A native of Monahans, Texas, he was a captain of the state semifinalst teamin high school. Mitchell was a class officer and student council representative, while also being part of Peer Assistance and Leadership (PAL).
