Kirkland Parker enters his first season as a Graduate Assistant Coach for the Buffs. He comes to Canyon following one season as the Defensive Backs coach at Ottawa University in Surprise, Arizona.
Parker was a three year letterwinner at Washington State where he appeared in 31 games for the Cougars, recording 37 tackles including 1.5 for loss to go along with four pass breakups and one forced fumble. The Houston, Texas product earned a degree in Social Science from WSU in the Fall of 2017.
Prior to his time in Pullman, Parker attended Blinn Junior College where he tallied 17 tackles, three pass breakups, two interceptions, one blocked punt, one force fumble and one fumble recovery for the Buccaneers. Parker was a First Team All-District honoree as a senior at Kingwood High School where he registered 77 tackles to go along with four interceptions as a senior.
